STEM education continues to increase in importance as our students prepare to enter a modern workforce. At Freedom Classical Academy, we are meeting this challenge head on with a rigorous math and science curriculum, hands-on experiments, a weekly technology special, and a growing list of resources to help students grasp difficult concepts and apply them in real-world situations.
Robotics
Meet Cue. Cue is a programable robot that helps students learn how to code, write programs, and have hours of fun. At Freedom Classical Academy, we are excited to use Cue and its siblings Dash and Dot as part of our STEM program.
VEX Robotics. FCA has purchased several kits for VEX Robotics. These systems allow students to build, code, and compete with robots.
LEGO Robotics. Everyone knows and loves Legos. Legos EV3 robotics kits and a myriad of servos, gears, and other gizmos to let you not only build, but program amazing robots and other devices.
3D Printers
If you can dream it, you can print it. FCA has purchased a number of 3D printers for use in both our GATE room and our STEAM classroom. Students that participate in the 3D Design club learn how to create their own 3D objects and then have the ability to actually make their design using the available printers.
